COLLEGIATE FUNDING SOLUTIONS, INC.
Collegiate Funding Solutions, Inc. ("CFS") provides technology and services that enable financial services professionals ("Advisors") to generate reports for use in advising their clients ("Clients") in the field of collegiate financial planning. CFS is committed to maintaining the privacy of its users, including both Advisors and Clients.
If you are using the online services of CFS (the "Services"), CFS may collect financial information and other information needed to generate a report as a part of the Advisor services. You are not required to enter any personally identifying information such as your name, email address, phone number, etc. The data gathered is only used to provide the Services and generate the report for the Advisor and will not be sold or marketed to any third party by CFS.
The Service also allows you to request to be contacted by the Advisor by submitting a “request for contact form.” This form collects your name, telephone number and email address and generates an email to the Advisor. This form is not required for you to use the CFS service and is only provided as an additional level of service. The information you provide in this form is not sold or marketed. If you do submit a “request for contact form,” any financial information you may have provided is not included as part of the email. Information provided by you in such request shall be provided by CFS through the Service solely to the Advisor and CFS shall not use the information for any other purpose.
In addition, CFS may collect information through the use of log files, which are described below.
The computer used to run the website keeps a record of its interactions with the website’s users, including information such as their Internet address, which particular pages on the site are visited, when each page was visited and for how long. This information is used to ensure that the website operates as it is intended and may be used to find and fix errors, improve performance or otherwise maintain the website.
DISCLOSURE OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
CFS will disclose information collected through the website or Service upon a court order, presentation of a warrant or as otherwise required by law. In addition, it may voluntarily disclose this information to law enforcement personnel if it believes such disclosure would help avoid or ameliorate any physical, psychological or emotional injury to any person, to Advisors or third parties in connection with any investigation of fraud, infringement, piracy or other unlawful activity or to protect or defend the rights and interests of CFS. If CFS is merged with or acquired by another entity, any financial or personal information provided by you may be transferred to such entity as a part of such merger or acquisition.
CFS stores information obtained through use of the Services securely and considers it part of the assets of its business. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, it has put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information it collects online. However, computer data security technologies evolve constantly in the face of new electronic threats, and there is no guarantee that any particular security measure will be able to keep out all attackers. You should consider any communication that you transmit through this website as non-confidential, and agree that CFS will not be liable or responsible if information submitted by you through this site is intercepted and used by an unintended recipient.
CFS uses reasonable efforts not to collect, use or disclose personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. The Services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and such children may not use the Services.
